WHALERS' RACE POSTPONED Tho annual inter-chib contest in naval service whalers, which was nrranged to take place to-morrow afternoon, has been postponed owing to the situation in Europe. The date for the race is indefinite. TAURANGA CLUB'S OFFICERS [by telegraph—own correspondent] TAURANGA, Thursday The commodore, Mr. T. F. Connor, presided over about 100 members and supporters at the annual meeting of the Tauranga Yacht and Power-boat Club. The report stated that the past season had been very successful and the total membership was now 218. Extensive alterations and additions were made to the clubhouse and jetty at a cost of £2.|o. . Officers were elected as follows: —Patron. Mr. A. J. Mirrilees; commodore, Mr. 1. t. Connor; vice-commodore, Mr. N. G. Hansen; rear commodore, Mr. B. Sneddon; secretary, Mr. N. G. Hansen; treasurer, Mr. G. Carter; clubhouse captain. Mr. J. Denby; committee, Messrs. C. It. Adams, E. Allen, P. Carter, j. Gresham, C. Millett, G. G. Norns A. Rendell. T. Sneddon, C. Tilby, R. Wilkinson. Twelve new members were elected, r lags ivere presented to the three flag officers. Mr. J- Denby was elected a life member of tho club.
