WEDDING AT PUKEKOHE

ADAMSON—CHAPMAN BRIDE IN MAGNOLIA SATIN A wedding of much local interest was celebrated in St. Andrew's Church, Pukekohe, on Wednesday, when Miss Nita Beatrice Chapman, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Chapman, of Opuatia, was married to Mr. Percy Adamson, second son of Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Adamson, of Grey Lynn. The Rev. E. C. Houchen, of Tuakau, performed the ceremony, and Mrs. G. Bowden was the organist.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a magnolia satin frock with yoke and full puff sleeves of ivory angelskin lace. The bodice was finished with a high neckline, and the Peter Pan collar ended in a row of tiny satin buttons. The full flared skirt fell into a circular train carried by two little flower girls. A halo of orange blossom and net held in place her tulle embroidered veil, which fell away to form a second train. A sheaf of lilies, jonquils, heather and maidenhair fern was carried. In attendance were the bride's sisters, Misses Alma and Sarah Chapman. Mrs. K. Richardson was matron of honour. All three wore frocks of peachbloom taffetas and angelskin lace, with yokes and short puff sleeves to match. Their pointed necklines were finished with matching posies, and their full skirts were -inset with godets of lace. They wore halos of pink roses and silver leaves. The flower girls, Patricia Ramsey, of Tuakau, and Isobel Barron, of Opuatia, wore forgct-me-not blue taffetas and angelskin frocks, with BoPeep hats of the same material. Mr. Cyril Thickpenny, of Milford, was best man and Messrs. Stanley Adamson, of National Park, and L. French, of Te Atatu, were groomsmen. The Beception

A reception was afterward held at the Oddfellows' Hall, Pukekolie, where Mrs. Chapman received the guests, assisted by Mrs. R. Ramsey and Mrs. R. Barron, both of Tuakau. Mrs. Chapman wore a blue woollen ensemble and toning hat and carried a posy of rosebuds and maidenhair fern. Mrs. Ramsey wore a blue costume and matching hat, and Mrs. Barron was in navy blue crepe with hat to tone. The bridegroom's mother wore $ grey costume with matching hat.
