Sir, —It is indeed difficult to understand the attitude of "Churchman" in hjs contentions that the non-participa-tion of the Anglicans in the united service on Good Friday was due to the traditional custom of the Mother Church in conducting her own services. Admittedly such has been the practice, but does that reason stand against the florious opportunity of bearing comined witness to Christ. The Anglican Church has been wont to complain of the indifference of a section of the community on this Holy Day. Yet wheh the opportunity to associate with the non-episcopal bodies on what is regarded as the most sacred day in our church calendar, the Anglican Church holds herself aloof. Indeed, this glorious dream of Church reunion would appear to be as far off as ever. Anglican.
