LABOUR LEGISLATION
Sir, —I have read Mr. Herbert Tiarks' letter in Thursday's Herald and would like to state my case, and say that there are a very big number of us in New Zealand. I am in my eighty-second year. I worked all the time from 13 to over 70, and never received any help from the country, but managed to put by for old age. For many years I worked 78 hours a week. Now the Labour Government is proposing to take part of this from me, when many of the skilled workers of to-day aro far better off than I am. Disgusted.
