WEDDING

1 ROKE— DWERRYHOUSE A picturesque wedding was celebrated in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Helensville, last Saturday evening when Joyce Dwerrvhouse, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Dwerrvhouse, of Helensville, was married to loicv James Roke, second sou of Mr. and Mrs. C. Roke, of Kaeo. The l,ev. b. L Boot, of Northcote, officiated, and Mr. H. Venables played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church, with her father, wore a graceful frock of magnolia angelskin lace over satin cut on classical lines. J lie bodice was made with a V-neckline caught with a spray of orange blossom; long, tightfitting sleeves and scalloped skirt falling from a curved waistline to form a long train. Her veil °f magnolia tulle was caught to the head with a coronet of orange blossom and tell in folds over her face, the pleated tulle at the back forming a second train. She carried a shower bouquet of cream roses, hvacinth and maidenhair fern. Two little tlower girls Lorraine Smith and Verna Scllars who carried the train were frocked alike in ankle length primrose silk net over taffetas. lhe\ wore primroses in their hair and carried posies of the same flowers. Ihe bridesmaids, .Misses lhelma Dwerrvhouse, Betty Coutts and Nancv Screaton, wore redingote frocks of apple green silk net over satin taffetas and halo hats of taffetas and velvet. They carried shower bouquets of vellow irises, tulips, primroses and maidenhair fern. Messrs.' Mclnerney, M. French and W. Dwerrvhouse attended the bridegroom. About 80 guests attended the reception at Parakai House where Mrs. Dwerrvhouse received her guests wearing a black wool georgette ensemble with hat to tone. Her posy was of autumn toned flowers. The bridegroom's mother wore a frock of black silk marocain relieved with white and a hat to match. She carried autumn flowers.
