ACCLIMATISATION WORK

SIZE OF DAILY BAGS A decision to obtain 200,000 brown trout ova and 750,000 rainbow trout ova from the Department of' Internal Affairs was made by the Council of the. Auckland Acclimatisation Society last night.

A proposed alteration in the method of allocating birds was deferred until the next meeting.

Considerable discussion took place regarding the total bags that could be taken in one day. The regulations were considered to bo ambiguous regarding whether ducks and pheasants could be taken on one day. It was decided that more than one species of bird could be taken in one bag.

The practice of shooting on the roads was deprecated, it was pointed out that some county councils had decided to prosecute in such cases, as it was an offence the Public Works Act.
