NO FURTHER CASES DISEASE APPARENTLY WANING There were no cases of infantile paralysis reported to the Department of Health at Auckland during the -weekend. The father of a child patient from Ponsonbv, who was admitted to the Auckland Hospital on Thursday, has undergone thorough examination, but his case is still doubtful. Dr. T. J. Hughes, medical officer of health for the Auckland district, said there were indications that the disease appeared to be subsiding in the country areas.

WAIKATO TOTAL NOW 30 TWO MORE POSITIVE CASES [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday Three infantile paralysis suspects were admitted during the week-end to the Waikato Hospital. Waipukurau.—A man, aged 21, from Takapau, was admitted to the Waipukurau Hospital suffering from infantile paralysis. He is paralysed in one leg. This is the fifth case in Central Hawke's Bay. Hastings.—For the second time this week a case of infantile paralysis has been reported in Hastings, the health authorities having been advised that a girl, aged 15 years, has been diagnosed as a positive case. NEW OASES IN WELLINGTON YOUiNG CHILDREN PATIENTS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] WELLINGTON, Sunday Two positive cases of infantile paralysis were admitted to the Wellington Hospital on Saturday night, a girl of 4$ from Vivian Street and a boy of eight from Taita. The latter is paralysed. No cases were reported to-day.
