[in* TETiKGBAVH —PKKSS ASSOCIATION*] DUNEDIN, Saturday A well-known figure in the business community of Dunedin, Mr. James L. Gardiner, manager of John Edinoml. Limited, collapsed and died suddenly yesterday afternoon at Cnrisbrook while watching a Rugby match. Mr, Gardiner, who was 59 years of age, was born at Mataura and came to Dunedin at the age of 15. Me joined the firm of .John Edmond. Limited, two years later. He* served for" a long period as traveller for the firm and finally was appointed manager.
