WAIKATO WINTER SHOW
OPENING NEXT TUESDAY MANY STRIKING DISPLAYS [by telegraph—own correspondent] Hamilton, Friday Preparations for the opening of the Waikato Winter Show on Tuesday are well forward toward completion. A wonderful display of exhibits is being arranged on numerous stands.» The judging of the butter and cheese exhibits ife almost finished. Awards have been made in connection with the NewZealand International Photographic Salon, an outstanding feature of the show. The opening is to take place at 2 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, the speakers being the president of the Winter Show Association, Mr. J. Ballard, the Mayor, Mr. J. R. Fow, .and the acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Eraser, who will speak by telephone from Wellington. Professor W. Itiddet. of Massey College, will formally declare the show open.
The exhibition will bo open every flay until 10 p.m., and will conclude on May 15. Numerous special train services liave been arranged in connection with the fixture.
