MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS

The "Hon. F. Jones, Minister of Defence, and Postmaster-Genpral, left for Wellington by the limited express last night. The Minister, who arrived in Auckland on Wednesday and represented the Government at a State luncheon tendered to the officers of the visiting United States destroyers Preston and Smith, has spent the last two days dealing with several matters affecting his portfolios. The Hon. R. Minister of Public Works, who will arrive in Auckland on Monday from Wellington, will snend Tuesday and Wednesday in the Kaipara electorate. He will return to Auckland on Thursday and will leave for Rotorua on the following day. Mr. Semple will be in the Tauranga electorate on March 15 and 16 and on March 17 he will leave for the Raglan electorate to Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, in a tour of the district. The Hon. P: Fraser, Minister of Education, discussed problems with school boards in Hamilton yesterday. As Minister in charge of the Police Department he inspected the Hamilton police station and left Hamilton in the afternoon for Paeroa. He visited the Paeroa District High School and addressed the children, and also inspected several sites for a new high and intermediate school. Afterwards he left for Rotorua.
