DEALINGS IN GUM
V.CLAIM MADE FOR £3OO f CASE HEARD AT KAITAIA [by TELEGRAPH —OWN" CORRESPONDENT] KAITAIA, Saturday Interest was displayed by gum diggers in a case heard before Mr. G. N. Morris, S.M., in the Kaitaia Magistrate's Court yesterday, when Clem Julina, of Awanui ' (Mr. J. B. Reynolds), claimed £3OO for alleged breach of contract from I. Antunavich and. Company (Mr. R. Kelly). It was alleged that the defendant company had contracted to sell their gum to Julina and then had not carried out the agreement. Plaintiff claimed that through this he had lost £3OO that he would i have secured from the sale of the gum. The magistrate reserved his decision.
