NAVAL DOCK WORKERS
REASON FOR DISMISSAL UNION OFFICIALS' INQUIRY LONDON, J fin. 13 An effort to obtain satisfaction was made to-day by the Transport nnd General Workers' Union in connection with the British Admiralty's dismissal of eight naval dockyard workers at Dovonport without published reason. Officials of the union interviewed Vice-Admiral A. L. Snagge, chief' of the Devonport dockyard, and Mr. A. Nicholls, construction manager, on behalf of the men dismissed. Neither official was able to give a reason, both saying they had acted on instructions from the Admiralty.
