FIRE AFTER PURCHASE
DAMAGE TO MOTOR-CAR NEW OWNER'S MISFORTUNE [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday A few minutes after it had been purchased this afternoon a motor-car burst into flames near the Hamilton police station and was damaged extensively. The Hamilton fire brigade suppressed the outbreak before the vehicle was totally destroyed. The car had just been purchased by Mr. Nelson Andrews, of Rotokauri. He was cranking it when the fire occurred.
