OPOTIKI INTERESTS
FIRE BRIGADE DANCE Tho, holiday spirit prevailed at the dance conducted by the members of the Opotiki Volunteer Fire Brigade in tho Lyric Hall on Saturday night. Novelty dances were won by Miss Bailey and partner and Miss Jessup and partner. Among those present were: —Mrs. G. Peagram, Mrs. H. Parkinson, Mrs. C. Tabb, Mrs. Powell, Mrs. D. Murray, Mrs. A. G. Stevenson, Mrs. J. Larmer (Taneatua), Mrs. J. Wiley (Suva), Mrs. 11. Abbot, Mrs. N. Parkinson, Misses G. Wolfe, P. Shaw, It. Abbot, YV. Pennant, V. Hutt, L. Hartshorne, Jessup (2), N. Warrington, L. Caves, Burnett (2), D. Anderson, G. Garruthers, MeNee (2), 1. Hennessy, Reid (2), L. Abbott, G. Withers, K. Webb, A. Johnson, P. Kawlia, A. Crawford, F. Lingman, D. West, Battle (.2), K.. Hennessy, W. Bailey, G. Lund. Miss June Dalgetty, of Hawera, is on holiday in Opotiki. She is the guest of Mrs. \V. A. Patterson. Mrs. M. Carroll, Opotiki, is spending the New Year holidays in Hastings.
Mrs. W. Turner, of Napier, accompanied by her infant sou, visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Payne, St. John Street, Opotiki. Mrs. Parsons and family, of Napier, spent tho holidays in Opotiki as the guests of Mrs. G, Vanstone, Woodlands.
Miss Stevens, of Wellington, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. F. G. Kibblewhite, Opotiki. Mrs. L. J. Rusden, of Matamata, is a visitor to Opotiki and is the guest of Mrs. I. M. ltusden, Richard Street.
Mrs. J?. Martin, of Wellington, is visiting Opotiki as the guests of her mother, Mrs. J. Parkinson, Richard Street.
Mrs. E. C. East, Ford Street, Opotiki, is on holiday in New Plymouth. Mrs. J. Gough and family, and Mrs. G. Gough and family, of Auckland, aro visiting Opotiki as the guests of M rs. J. Kelly, firohanga. Mis. L, E. Welham, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. N. Neilson, Thorndon, Opotiki. Mrs. J. Riddle, of Whakatane, is visiting Opotiki as the guest of Sirs. Hird, Richard Street. Mrs. L. Davies and family are spending tho holidays in Opotiki as the guests of Mrs. H. Larmer. Miss Stella Scott, of Auckland, is spending the New Year holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Scott, Kukumoa, Opotiki. Mrs. Mortlock, of Mount Albert, accompanied by her two daughters, May and Hazel, is the guest of Mrs. H. R. Noble. Hospital Hill, Opotiki. Mrs. Sholto Black, of Timaru, accompanied by her small daughter, is on holiday in Opotiki and is tho guest of Mrs. ,T. Black, Otara. Miss Kadia Scott, of Auckland, is visiting her parents in Opotiki during tho school vacation.
