Mrs. R. T. Smith, of Orakei, will return on Monday from a visit to Onetangi.
The Misses N. and R. Mahon have taken a flat at Earl's Court, Gladstone Road, Parnell.
Mrs. John Murphy, of Gisborne, is the guest of Mrs. R. Burns, Lochiel Road, Remuera.
Mrs. Gordon Corlett, of New Plymouth, is visiting Mrs. J. Edmonds, of Ranfurly Road, Epsom.
Mrs. A. R. Gower, of Petone, who is on a motor tour of the North Island, is at present at Rotorua.
Miss Somerset Thomas, Beckham Place, Grafton, is visiting Mrs. Southey Baker, Palmerston North.
Mrs. Ronald Baxter and Miss Roma Baxter, of Wanganui, are spending a holiday at Cheltenham Beach.
Mrs. T. H. E. Oakes, Brighton Road, Parnell, and her daughter, will leave this morning to spend three weeks at Taupo.
Mrs. David Solomon, of Dunedin, who lias been visiting Auckland, will leavo 111 is morning to spend ;i few days at Rotorua before returning south.
Mrs. F. Higginson, of Whangarei, is spending a few days in Auckland before going to Wellington, where she will visit her daughter, Mrs. R. Bond.
Mrs. S. M. Rhodes, Clonbern Road, Remuera, has returned from Wanganui and has now left with her grandsons to spend the remainder of the holidays in the North.
Mrs. Greenfield (Sheffield), Mrs. J. Robinson (New Plymouth), Mrs. Macfarlane (Napier), Mrs. Coverdale (To Kawa) and Miss Wason (Palruerston North), are at Hotel Titirangi.
Auckland guests at Hotel Titirangi include: —Mrs. S. Boyd, Mrs. Garrett, Mrs. W. J. Allen, Mrs. W. E. lon. Mrs. H. M. Driver, Mrs. J. J.. Boyce, Mrs. Law, Mrs. Robbins, and the Misses Goldsworthy, Bowman, Murphv and Garrett.
Miss Agnes Wheen, who for the past 12 years has been principal of Annesley College, Bowral, Australia, has resigned her position and will arrive at Auckland next month to attend the conference of the Australia and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science.
Mrs. G. B. Morgan, Miss Halmai Laughnan, Dr. J. P. McQuilnken, and Mr. R. de R. Mitchell, of Christchurch, who have been selected as the contract bridge team representing the recentlyformed New Zealand Contract Bridge Association, left yesterday by the Marama on a visit to Melbourne, where they will meet teams from the Bridge Association of Victoria. The members of the team expect to spend two weeks in Melbourne.
