THE MATAMATA CLUB [from our own correspondent] MATAMATA, Monday ■ The second series for the Matamata Rifle Club's championship was fired at the Peria range on Saturday. The best scores were:—• \V. M. Landells, 47, 36—53; H. Kceebone, 44, 38—82; L. Park, 42, 3ti —SI. COMPETITION AT WAIHI {by telegraph—OWN correspondent] WAIHI. Monday Returned soldiers, territorials and members of the Waihi Rifle Club held a competition on the Waihi rifle range on Saturday afternoon. The teams' match was won by the Rifle Club with 513 points; the Territorials were second with 498; and the returned soldiers third with 431. Rifleman D. Scath was the winner of the individual shoot vrith a score of 102 points.
