NORTHERN CLUB'S EVENT The Northern Racing Pigeon Club's event. ir on Saturday resulted in a very close finish. ■■■* The birds were liberated at Marton at 8 a.m.' and, with the aid of a southerly wind and a clear day, covered the 226 miles in fast time, the leading birds reaching Auckland at 1.15 p.m. Following is the result:—Mr. R.
