MOUNT EDEN METHODISTS

A competitive rally and sale of gifts was held on Thursday afternoon and evening in the Alount Eden Alethodist School Hall. The function was opened by Airs. E. AloKenzie, one of the oldest members of the Church. On behalf of tho gathering, Airs. T. Clark presented Mrs. AloKenzie with a bouquet of spring flowers. Following tho official opening, Airs. Gordon Nicholson contributed tho vocal solo "Come to tho Fair." Under tho direction of Airs. T. Clark (president of the Women's Guild), Mrs. A. Armitage (president of the Women's Alissionary Pranch Auxiliary), Miss Peid (Church organist) and Mr. Vernon Brooks (president of tho Men's Fraternal), a band of church workers was in charge of several stalls. In the evening, special items of interest were various competitions and a picture show conducted by Air. Cliff. Wiseman. The proceeds, which are for the recent building additions, and general trust purposes, amounted to £145.
