SPEED ON TRACK

BEOADSIDING TEAMS VISIT TO AUSTRALIA ENGLISH AND AMERICAN Two official broadsiding teams, from England and the United States, will visit Australia this summer, according to Mr. A. N. Pryor, chairman of directors of Empire Speedways, Limited, Sydney, who is returning from the United States and England by the Mariposa. This will be the first time that two official international teams have visited Australia in the one season. Several of the riders would probably come to New Zealand toward the close of the summer, Mr. Pryor added. Both teams, which were very strong, would race in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Together with an Australian team they would engage in five official tests, two in Melbourne and three in Sydney. There would be seven men in each team, Mr. Pryor said. Jack Parker would captain the English team, which also would include Norman Parker, Wal Phillips, Tommy Croombs, Les Wotton. Frank Varev and Cliff Parkinson. The American team would be under the captaincy of Jack Milne, the others being Cordv Milne, Ray Tauser, Wilburn Lamoreaux, Earl Farrem, j Bvrd McKinney and Bo Lisman. Six of j the Australian team had been chosen, | said Mr. Pryor. These were Vic Huxj ley, captain, Lionel Van Praag, H. | Wilkinson, Dick Case, Artie Fenn and j Frank Pearce.
