CHARGE OF NEGLIGENCE | ACCUSED SENT FOR TRIAL I j [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION] GREYMOUTH, Friday A trncker, John Cyril O'Donnell, aged 27, was committed for trial today 011 a charge of negligently driving a motor-oar and causing the death of William Ramsay Burt 011 August 29 in High Street, Grevmouth. Accused was also charged with failing to stop to ascertain whether he had injured Burt and failing to render assistance. Evidence given in the Police Court to-day showed that Burt was found dead on the road at 2 a.m. with a motor-cycle some distance away. An inquest was held simultaneously with the hearing of the charges. The coroner, Mr. H. Morgan, S.M., found that deceased died from a fracture of the skull, the result of a collision between a motor-car driven by John Cyril O'Donnell and a motor-cycle ridden by deceased.
