FIVE HUNDRED EVENING
To raise funds for the Huntly Croquet Club a flag five hundred evening was held, at which Mr. and Mrs. E. Smith officiated as host and hostess. The successful players were Mrs. G. Horwood (Taupiri) and Mr. J. Shaw and Mrs. E. Tremain (Taupiri). Consolation prizes went to Mrs. E. Freeman (Taupiri), Mrs. J. Cunningham and Mr, T. L. Thomas. The ladies present were:—Mesdames E. Smith, G. A. Green, W. Speirs, E. W. Huston, E. Speedy (Taupiri), T. Russell, C. Bond, D. Luke, T. Hall, F. Meek, G. Horwood (Taupiri), J. Douglas, A. Hilton, Bruce (Taupiri), W. C. Davies, S. Smith, T. Swarbrick, B. Callaghan, McNainara, H. Broadbent, Menzies, E. Alexander, J. Dodds, A. Lancaster (Rotorua), _McMullen,_ J. Turton, T. Pawson, F. Smith, H. Smith, J. Cunningham, E. Tremain (Taupiri), J. W. Shaw, Wilson and Frankham (Taupiri), Misses D. Clements (Auckland), I. Smith, E. Partridge and M. Grafton.
