RACE FOR BALLOONS
START OF THE EVENT CEREMONY AT WARSAW (Received August 31, 5.45 p.m.) WARSAW, August 30 The Gordon Bennett balloon race started to-day in the presence of the President and members of the Cabinet. Belgium entered a second balloon. The Polish balloon "Lopp" was christened with champagne. The competitor who goes tho farthest wins the cup and £2BO.
