CALIFONT EXPLODES
A loud report was heard throughout the Lewis Eady Building at about 11 o'clock yesterday morning, when a gas califont in a buffet attached to a billiard saloon on the top floor exploded. Mr. R. Elbeck, who was in charge of the buffet, had not used the machine before and allowed gas to escape while a pilot jet was turned on, this causing an explosion of sufficient violence to shatter a window in the room. Although shaken, Mr. Elbeck .was not injured.
