ANNUAL LADIES' NIGHT • The Masonic Hall at Ellerslie was crowded on Saturday when Lodge Wairoa held its annual ladies' evening. Bowls of cyclamen and fern and hundreds of coloured lights made attractive decorations. The guests werQ received by the Worshipful Master, Mr. L. E. Smith, and Mrs. Smith. Songs, recitations and pianoforte solos were given by Mr. and Mrs. Simpson, Miss Eunice Nutt, Miss Mary Pilkington and Messrs. L. E. Smith and 0. Darby. Among those present were: —Mrs. L. E. Smith, who wore crimson and blue shot taffetas; Mrs. Bracewell, navy lace; Mrs.. T. Shaw, black georgette and silver; Mrs. Wyn Dunne, navy georgette and lace; Mrs. C. J. Hewlett, black ring velvet; Mrs. P. S. Wallis, black delustred 6atin; Mrs. Birchfield, Hame and gold georgette; Mrs. M. Blackwell, Marina suede crepe; Mrs. L. H. Crosher, beige lace; Mrs. A. Matt-son, turquoise crepe; Mrs. Hewson, navy satin; Mrs. Fowler, beige satin; Mrs. A. McKenzie, flame georgette; Mrs. F. J. Johnson, black flat crepe and silver; Mrs. G. Woodhead, black georgette; Mrs. C. Taylor, navy flat crepe; Mrs. Turney, tobacco georgette; Mrs. Ferguson, black and silver georgette; Mrs. M. Kew, floral georgette; Mrs. A.
