MEN AND WORK
Sir, —The Prime Minister's recent challenge from tho floor of the House, "Show me the man who likes work, etc.," has been met promptly, and appropriately enough by no less a one than the Hon. Minister for "Works," in promising instant dismissal for men engaged on public works who have been supplementing their income by taking other work on Saturday mornings. And I would submit to tho latter that instead of meting out summary dismissal to the men as threatened, they bo taken to tho Legislative Council Chamber, presented to the Prime Minister, duly honoured and immortalised bv him, according to his word, so that all might learn, yet 'once again, that there are men "who are Keen on Work.
