LONDON CHAMBER REPORT
Sir. —As a rejoinder to the reply by "E.C.C.," 1 repeat that the London Chamber of Commerce report contained a complete mis-statement of fact, inasmuch as it stated that all avenues of investigation had been explored, whereas there is no evidence whatever that it did so. Secondly, the direct statement of "E.C.C." was not referred to as a quotation. It is unfortunate that a short and simple letter has been misconstrued. In any case, the assertion that nothing short -of reform of the monetary system can avert disaster is entirely misleading, since no such reform "*would deal with the privato appropriation of tho "cultural heritage" and the "increment of association," and the concomitant taxation which, with the speculative rental, comprises tho real cause of the "gap" between the producing and consuming powers of tho earners of wealth.
