MORTGAGE LEGISLATION

Sir, —With regard to the Mortgagors,' Relief Bill now before the House, I would like to have an opinion on tho following case: On a certain parcel of land are three mortgages. The first is held by a privato investor, the second, a most unusual case, I admit, is held by the State, and the third is held by a private person. So far as 1 know the interest on the second mortgage has been paid, but not to the privato or first mortgagee. In case of the mortgagor applying for rehabilitation, to what extent would the first mortgagee bo called upon to reduce his mortgage? Farmer.
