Mrs. J. O. Musgrave, of Gisborne, is at present visiting her mother, Mrs, J. Parkinson, Richard Street. Opotiki. Mrs. 10. I l '. Paynter, of Karori, Well 4 ington, will return to her home at the week-end, after spending a fortnight's holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Gordon, Opotiki.
One of the series of monthly socials organised b,v the social committee of St. Stephen's Church tvas held in the Parish Hall. A novelty dance was won by Miss («. Wolfe mid her partner. A popular item was contributed by a trio of boys in a month 'organ selection. The hostesses were: —Mesdames 10. j. J-Jaigent, H. Rowland, W. Turner. 11. A. O'Sullivan. .1. G. ltussell, .1. Williams and Misses S. Butler and K. Anderson.
