BOXING

fLUTO-FI SHER RETURN BOUT Since the boxing contest between Cyril Pluto and Frijd Fisher nearly a fortnight ago Auckland sportsmen who packed the hall to see the fight have been arguing whether the Australian was entitled to the decision, or whether it should have gone to the Englishman, and the news that the Auckland Boxing Association has arranged a return match for next Monday evening at the Town Hall has been with acclamation, Tho first meeting of the pair provided an excellent contest. Tho decision in favour of Pluto was the signal for an uproar, a large proportion of the spectators being of the opinion that the verdict should have been awarded to Fisher. All arguments regarding the respective merits of the two men will be settled when they meet in the return bout on Monday evening. Pluto is determined to retain his unbeaten record and is confident that the Englishman will not succeed in either beating him on 'points or in knocking him out. while Fisner is keen to prove that lie fully deserved the decision on the last occasion Both men will endeavour to score a convincing win, and so the spectators should be treated to an exhibition which may be even more exciting than the last. Another fine supporting programme has also been arranged.
