SEASON AT ROYAL OAK IMPROVED STANDARD OF PLAY The annual meeting of the Royal Oak Lawn Tennis Club was presided over by the president. Mr. J. T. Harmon. In moving the adoption of the report and . balancesheet Mr. Harrison referred to the improved standard of play at the club, as was evidenced by the very satisfactory results obtained in the inter-club competitions, ihe third and fourth grade teams had both won their sections, while the first and second grade teams had each been runners-up. The election of officers resulted as lotlows :—President, Mr. J. T. Harrison; vicepresidents, Messrs. G. H. Fleming, Is. Jones, F.-, J. Ohlson. G. h. Taylor; honorary secretary, Mr. R. K. Burridge, A. Ohl'son. F. Olsen. M Robb. K Woollams: delegates to Auckland Tennis Association, Messrs. J. T. Harrison, W. Burridge, i. championships resulted as follows:—Men's singles, A. W. Allen; men • doubles, A. W. Allen. D. McDonald; ladies singles, Mist M. Wade; ladies doubles Mrs. I. Wilson, Miss S. Bull; combined doubles, G. Rich and Miss S. Bull.
