TRAINING OF OFFICERS

CAMP AT NGARUAWAHIA [from our own corricsponoent] NGARIJAWAIUA. Saturday At present a course of train inc for officers and non-commissioned officers seeking promotion to commissioned rank is being held at the military base at Hopuhopu. Tho camp will extend over a week, at tho end of which period candidates will be examined by the various examining boards. Tho officer in charge is Major H. B. McHugh, M.C. There are 45 non-commissioned officers in tho camp and 55 commissioned officers. The course of training includes lectures, as well as a considerable amount of practical work.
