Since the 1926 census, Avondale borough and the Tamaki and Orakei Road Districts have been incorporated in Auckland City and the 1926 figures have been adjusted to include the then population of these districts for comparison purposes. The population of Greater Auckland, from Henderson to Otahuhu, at the last census was 190,176.
