ART UNION SUCCESS
WIDOW'S GOOD FORTUNE WINNER OF £SOO PRIZE The holder of the ticket 102827, taken in the name of " Wildflower," which won the second prize of £SOO in the " Happier Days " Art Union, is Mrs. Daisy Dent, a widow living at an apartment house at 41 Crummer Road, Grey Lynn. " It seems almost too good to be true," Mrs. Dent said. " I am a widow and I have been down on my luck for years. This money should put me on my feet. I have not decided quite what I will do with the money as £SOO is a big sum and I do not want to waste it." Mrs. Dent said she has been in the habit of buying art union tickets at intervals over a period of years. She bought the winning ticket on the first day that tickets were available in the " Happier Days " Art Union. " They will certainly be happier days for me," she remarked. Mrs. Dent has been employed for some time as a machinist in a city clothing factory. She does not intend to give up her work.
