HAMILTON, Friday jy profit of £376 6n the year's working Was reported at the annual meeting yesterday of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association. Thn retiring president, Mr. W. H. Miers, presided ever a good' attendance of members It was statfed in the annual report that the attendant® of the public was excellent, the gate receipts showing an increase of £SO over the previous year. In nearly every section of the show competition was yery strong, a considerable increase in entries being recorded. An agreement had been reached with the Auckland Provincial Polo Association for the formation and levelling of the interior of the race track at the show grounds. The area had now been sown in grass and would he the venue every third year of the New Zealand polo tourney. The following officers wero appointed:—President, Mr. Neil Reid, of iS'gahinapouri; senior vice-president, Mr. P. H. Hinton; junior vice-presi-dent,. Mr. P. H. Clarl tin; executive, new members elected were Messrs. W. H. Miers,™ J*- ISr-Powell. W. T» Luxton . !
It Was decided to set up a small committee to go into the question of holding the Royal Show -at Hamilton in 1938. 1
THE WINTER FIXTURE RECORD DAIRY ENTRIES [from our own correspondent) HAMILTON. Friday Entries totalling 800, or 49' more than those received last year, have come to hand in the butter and cheese classes at the Waikato Winter Show. All previous records have been eclipsed.
