SALARIES RESTORED

TOWN BOARD STAFF DECISION AT PAPATOETOE A decision to restore the salaries and wages of the staff of the Papatoetoe Town Board to the level in force before the reductions were made during the depression years was reached by the Town Board last night. The chairman, Mr. W. J. Nicholson, said the board had appreciated the services given by members of the staff during the years they had suffered under depressed conditions. The first reduction was restored last year, and the proposed increase was to operate from April 1. Mr. Nicholson said the additional annual expenditure involved would be approximately £B2. The motion to restore salaries and wages to their former level was carried without dissent.
