The going was gopd when work started, but it became softer as the morning advanced. Tho best gallops of the morning wore recorded by Rereatu and Kelly over six furlongs and a round respectively. Roman Mascot covered a circuit in 2.3 1-5, the last six furlongs in 1.20. She did her work nicely. Fleotwind, with a light weight, ran six furlongs in 1.18 4-5. She is likely to raco at Te Aroha. Ringshot was nob bustled to run half a mile in 56 2-ss. He has not been overtaxed of lato. Wh irlmint covered a circuit comfortably in 2.11 3-5, taking 5G 3-5s for the last half-mile. lied Flame ran six furlongs in 1.23 4-5. Valspear ran two furlongs in 27 2-5 and completed six in 1.21. He was going strongly all the way and should give a good account of himself at To Aroha. Gay Stop and Lone Flier went half a mile in 56 "l-5s and Marlene covered the same distance in 55 4-ss. Kelly, with a very light weight, was responsible for an attractive gallop over a circuit in 1.54. He ran the last mile in 1.47 3-5 and the last half-mile in 54 l-ss. It was an excellent effort under the conditions. Wee Pat easily beat Tea Chat over a circuit, the last seven furlongs in 1.44. Wee Pat is now assuming bettor condition.
