MATCHES AT MATAMATA SUCCESS OF AUCKLAND TEAMS Two teams from the Auckland City Rifle Club visited the Matamata Rifle Club during the week-end and shot a coached-teams match over 300, 500 and 600 yards. Seven shots were fired at each range. Conditions were perfect but no one reached 100, Simmonds being top scorer with 99. The results were as follows: — City A.—H. Simmohds, 33, 32; 34—99; S. L. Courtney, 42. 31—73; J. FeTguson. *lO. 28—08. A team -shoot "for the T. Hill t.r.ophy. over 200 yds, resulted :as follows:—Dr. H. F. Buckley. 44; '.T. 11. 'Ashton, 39; B. L. Smith. 33; J. Courtney, 32; total, 148.' A team from tho club travelled to Unutoke,- where the Swan Cup was shot for, the Whangarei team (W. Norris, C. Ruddell, Tattersfield, J. Litchfield and M. K. Stewart) being successful. The Hornblow Cup and medal, for the beat individual shoot, waa won by W. Norris.
