PASCOE CUP COMPETITION The annual inter-house lawn tennis competition for the Pascoe Cup was continued last evening. Results of third round matches are as follows: Lands nnd Survey No. 1 v. Milne and Choyce.—Ellett and Crocker beat Cameron and Hall. P—s, 6—3: Ledger and Miller beat McPhail and Pollard. 6—4. 6 —l. Lands and Survey won by two matches to nil. Westfield Freezing Works v. Farmers' Trading Company.—Lusk and Fenton beat Burridge and Irvine, 6—4, 6—o; Elder and Grant lost to Bowker and Coleman. 3—6, 4—6; Lusk and Elder beat Burridge and Bowker, 6—4. 6—4. PAEROA CLUB [by telegram—OWN correspondent] PAEROA, Monday Tennis matches played on Saturday were won by both Pauroa teams, the A team decisively defeating Thames on the home courts, and the B team beating Kopu at Kopu by 11 matches to four. DUNLOP SHIELD MATCH [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] WHAKATANE, Monday Tho Whakatane Tennis Club's A team played a match for the Dunlop Shield against the Kangitaiki Club on the Whakatano courts at the week-end. The match resulted in a win for Whakatane by nine games to seven. OTOROHANGA TOURNAMENT [from our own correspondent] OTOROHANGA, Monday Tho Otorohanga Tennis Club's annual handicap tournament was held during the week-end, there being large entries from various parts of the King Country. Results in the finals were:—Men's singles: N. G. Brown defeated P. H. Jones. 9—l. Ladies' singles: Miss F. Holmes beat Mrs. Bowler, 7—o. Men's doubles: Brown and Waretini beat Hughes and Hughes. 9—6. Combined doubles: Brown and Mrs. Sheahnn beat Waretini and Mrs. Trapski, 9—7. The final of the ladies' doubles between the Misses Holmes and McCracken and Mesdnmes Patterson and Trapski will be played during tho week.
