BOYS' SUMMER CAMP

CRUSADER MOVEMENT FORTNIGHT AT PONUI ISLAND A camp on Ponui Island, in the Hauraki Gulf, now a well-established annual fixture of the Crusader Movement of New Zealand, is to be opened to-morrow, when over 70 boys, X2 officers and others will leave Auckland by the steamer Kaipatiki. Ihe camp will break up on January 31. The Crusader Movement of iNew Zealand is part of an Empire-wide organisation, working exclusively m secondary schools and colleges. It is evangelical and inter-denommational. drawing its officers, staff workers and voluntary helpers from all the Protestant denominations. The basis of the movement is strictly non-sectarian. A lengthy and varied programme has been arranged for the fortnight's camp at the island. All forms of sport will be held and launch picnics treasure hunts and camp concerts will take place. Every boy's need for something more than fun 'and sport is .realised, and each day's activities will . begin and end with informal prayers, in the form of talks given by the officers of the movement. Pules at the camp will be few, although the usual military fatigue svstem in connection with routine duties will be observed.
