A LEAGUE OF CHURCHES
Sir, —The recent crisis in Britain cries trumpot-tongued for the Churches of Christendom to bestir themselves. The League of Nations' policy is not only international, economic, moral; but in name of tho Prince of Peace, it is Christian. What then should be the relationship between Church and State? Surely, Christmas is specially tho time for such consideration. History has given its testimony, in various phrases; but ever more clearly it is being revealed, that the real relationship should be seen in a Christian Theocracy. This means that Church and State should worv in brotherly unity for the Kingdom of God, under the cross of Him who prayed, "That they all inav bo one . . . that the world may believe that Thou hast sent me." What say the Churches to this? James Milne.
