PREVENTION OF CRUELTY SOCIETY'S ANNUAL MEETING Satisfaction with the results achieved during the year was expressed by members at the ninth annual meeting of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Auckland), Incorporated, held last night. Mr. J. B. Paterson presided over a large attendance. Tho report and balance-sheet already published, Avere adopted, and officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr. Spencer Mason; vice-presidents, Sir George Elliot, Sir Walter Stringer, Mesdames Alfred Nathan, C. I. Nathan, Noble, N. 0. White and B. Woods, Miss S. Hoffmann, Messrs. R. Arthur, J. B. Donald, P. A. Edmiston, C. H. Furness, V. R. Meredith, F. J. Newbcry and J. B. Paterson; executive committee, Mesdames B- J- Marquet and Spencer Mason, Miss I. Wight, Messrs. A. G. Frankham, R. H. Harper, H. Hardy, A. E. Jackson and A. M. Perry; honorary solicitor, Mr. F. J.
