RIDING CLUB DANCE

An Oriental atmosphere, portrayed by a colourful display of lanterns interspersed with tasteful decorations of Chinese willow, was presented on the balconies of the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Worker, Peacock's Road, Hamilton, when an inaugural dance was given for the members of the Tally Ho Riding Club and their friends. The ballroom was -decoruted with balloons and streamers, bridles and riding equipment giving an appropriate effect. The lounge,i where a buffet supper was served, was decorated in keeping with the ballroom. Mrs. Worker received her guests, wearing a gown of black crepe romaine relieved with lace tatting and white velvet gardenias. She was "assisted by her daughter, Una, in floral georgette trimmed with coral organdie rosettes and silver lame coatee. Among those present were:—Mrs. A. Cornaga (Cambridge), Mrs. I. Broughton (Huntly), Miss I. Stewart (Waingaro), Miss N. Raven, Miss Jackson, Miss D. Stranger, Miss H. Stewart (Waingaro), Miss M. Lells, Miss M. Cornaga (Cambridee), Miss P. Sorbv, Mi ss E. Gavan (Waingaro), Miss V. Collier, Miss N. Murray, Miss A. Palmer, Miss G. Walsh, Miss B. Boucher. Miss G. Thomas and Miss H. Devonshire.
