Sir Abb is likelv to race next at the \\ aikato meeting. Roreatu was inclined to loaf at tho end of five furlongs in 1.9 1-5. He is steadily improving in condition. Imamint pleaded by running five furlongs in 1.7. She should be ablo to give a good account of herself at any time.

Etcetera ran an easy circuit, taking 1.42 for tho last seven and 43s for the last three lurlongs. He worked freely throughout. Teddy Boy and Express Hunting Maid was not bustled to run six furlongs in 1.23, Sho appears to be doing well again. Rod Flame did strong work, to take 1.13 for the last five furlongs, without being extended at any stage. Teddy Boy was doing a shade better than Express at -the end of six furlongs iu 1.19 2-5. Both are expected to compote at Whangarei. Pasha was not extended to run six furlongs in 1.27 3-5. His condition has improved since ho raced at tho recent spring meeting. Royal Appellant and Bayora were on terms at the end of six furlongs in 1.21 l-o. The former appears to be going more freely than previously. Tidalia, Kin<r Mestor and Vera Acre were in that order at tho end of six furlongs in 1.20 1-5. Tho first-named pair worked satisfactorily, but Vera Acre did not go as well as usual. Gay Broney, assisted by To Broney over tho last five, ran six furlongs in I.IS 1-5, the last five taking 1.5 1-5. It was a very encouraging effort on the part of both, who should bo prominent at Whangarei. Valmint and Jewelled Girdle ran their first three in 39s and went on to complete six furlongs in 1.21, with Valmint doing tho better at the end. Lady Diana was given strong work, to. quicken up and run the last three furiongs in 41 l-ss, upon which sho could easily have improved. Green Patch Goes Freely
Haputalo and Docility were not fully extended to run threo furlongs in 42 2-ss.
Groen Patch ran tix furlongs in 1.19 2-5, beating Marjory Daw over the last half-mile in 51 3-ss. Green Patch finished up his work in very solid style. Waikatoa beat King Spear and Parabola over three furlongs in 41si She showed too much speed for the other pair. King Spear is a recent addition to 12. C. Rao's team. He is a gelding by Spear Dance from Queenie Latour. Hawthorn, after sprinting five furlongs in 1.10, jumped four , hurdles in good style, with F. Baker in the saddle. He got in close to the last hurdle, but recovered cleverly. Lord Val (Burgess) and Black Marlin (Williams) gave an excellent display over four hurdles, both fencing without mistake. , : Roman Mascot and Valspear were allotted useful work on the sand track. There will probably be a number of others from Avon dale. TE RAPA TRACK WORK KING REY MOVES FREELY [BY TELEGRAPH—OWN COniIESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Tuesday The going on the course proper, some 70ft. out from the rails, was heavy at Te Rapa this morning and consequently tne times were slow. Boughal and La Feinme Noire will leavo to-morrow for Whangarei. Racetto may possibly make the trip also. All throe are in good order. L'Allegro, who benefited by his race at Cambridge, was several lengths in front or Dark Shadow at tho end of seven furlongs in 1.43, tho first halfmile occupying oOs. There was little between Sinking Fund and Gloucester at tho conclusion of half a mile in 57}s. Both these members of J. F. Tutchen's string are in good order for engagements ahead. King Key moved freely throughout a circuit in 2.20, tho last soven furlongs in 1.46. No rider has yet been announced for King Roy at Te Rapa. Trouvaille was in front of Little Leslie over five furlongs in 1.13 J. Considering tho conditions pertaining, and tlie extra ground covered, the time was quite satisfactory. Cappy and Carshalton ran the same distance in 1.13 1-5. Folly's Choice and Travelling Agent hit out freely over a round in 2.20. R.
