TE PUKE GARDEN PARTY
In spite 6f adverse weather many residents of Te Puke and the surrounding districts attended a function arranged by Mrs. T. E. Palmer and friends in tho former's interesting garden for tho purpose of swelling the health campaign fund. Tea was served Under the wistaria vine, which was in full bloom. This vino is 24__ years old and as it is trained over 2700 square feet of trellis more than 9ft. high, it made a glorious bower. During the afternoon Girl Guides gave an interesting and intricate sword dance and some pupils of Mrs. Connell danced on the lawn. Competitions were won by Mrs. Faulks and Miss Kennedy.
