SPORTS PRESENTATION

Following the close of business at the last meeting for the season of the Waiuku Basketball Association opportunity was taken by the vice-president, Miss Gwen Pleydell, of Pukekohe, to present the president, Miss Parks, with a silver lily vase as a token of the association's appreciation of the way in which sho had guided its affairs. Miss Pleydell said there were 16 teams in the association representing seven districts. In accepting the gift, Miss Parks said her duties had been made easy by the co-operation of the executive officers and the enthusiasm of the clubs.
