GERMAN CLUB
At the monthly social evening of the German Club, an enjoyable programme of entertainment was presented. It comprised Hawaiian and tap dances, recitations, a pianoforte duet and a musical scene. A letter from the German Consul in Wellington was read informing the club that by the Reichs Flag Law passed on September 15, the German national and commercial flag was now the swastika in black, white and red colours. The announcement was also made that the club had secured its own rooms, which would be _ opened next month. Supper and dancing concluded the evening.
