FORTIFYING COAST
f ACTION BY ALBANIA ITALIAN LOAN GRANTED ATHENS. Oct. 13 Albania, in recognition of an Italian loan of £BOO,OOO, spread over 10 years, has agreed to fortify the Adriatic coast from Cimarre to Valona under the supervision of Italian authorities. This is a stretch of coastline on the west of the Strait of Otranto at the southernmost part of the Adriatic Sea. The coasts of Italy and Albania are about 40 miles apart at the narrowest part of the strait.
