WOOL SHIPS DIVERTED
USE OF THE CAPE ROUTE EFFECT OF INSURANCE RATES ADELAIDE. Oct. 14 So far only three of the wool fleet, the Turakina, Taranaki and Talleyrand, are offering to carry,wool through the Suez Canal and the remainder, numbering six, have all been diverted to the Cape route. The officers said that the imposition of wartime insurance rates, added to the already high canal dues, made it almost impossible for shipping to use the canal and show a profit on tho voyage.
