LATE LADY BELL

MEMORIAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE GATHERING [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Tuesday The funeral of the late Lady Bell took place this morning, services being held at St. Paul's Pro-cathedral and the cemetery. The funeral itself was private, but there was a large and representative gathering at the memorial service at St. Paul's, which was conducted by Bishop Sprott and Canon James. The chief mourners were Sir Francis and Miss Bell. The pall bearers were Messrs. A. D. S. Duncan, C. Levin, Peter Johnson, C. Bell, Warwick Blundell and J. Dennison. Captain A. G. W. Heber-Percy represented the Governor-General. Also present were the Prime Minister, Mr. Forbes, Mr. Coates and other Cabinet Ministers, the Speakers of both Houset of Parliament, members of the Legislative Council, the Mayor of Wellington, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, and representatives of various professions, Government departments and commercial interests.
