Holdsworth, chairman of the Auckland Electric-Power Board, who underwont two serious operations recently, is making a good recovery, and went for motor drives about the city yesterday and the previous day. • ■ The Hon. T. Bloodworth, the Hon. A. Burns, the Hon. J. Alexander and the Hon. J. Trevcthick, M.L.C.'s. and Mr. A. J. Stallworthy, Mr. A. S. Richards, ' Mr. H. G R. Mason, Mr. W. P. Enilean and Mr. W. E. Parry, M.P.'s, left for Wellington last evening. Bishop Liston, who is at present in Ireland in the course of his oversea* tour, is expected to leave England on October 6 on his return journey to New Zealand, according to latest advices. He will travel via the United States, and is expected to arrive at Auckland by the Niagara on November 25.
